Instructions for optimum thermal weeding

1. Distance from ground :

• Keep the appliance about 20 cm from the ground. This distance is crucial to avoid burning the plants, which could paradoxically act as a fertiliser and encourage regrowth. This is sufficient.

2. Duration of application :

• A 3-second pass is all it takes. You’ll see the plant wilt before your very eyes, a sign that the heat shock has been effective. There is no need to prolong exposure, as this could cause unnecessary damage to the soil or the treated surface.

3. Weather conditions :

• Avoid weeding in very dry weather to prevent the risk of fire and damage to surrounding plants.
• Our short, rigid flame makes it possible to weed in the rain or in light breezes. These conditions do not affect the effectiveness of thermal weeding, and in rainy weather it can be even more effective because the thermal shock is even greater.
